Professional Angels would like to recruit experienced carers and nurses' or any other health professionals such as Occupational Therapists, Physio Therapists wanting to work as carers  from New Zealand to fill available vacancies from 1 hour daily visits to 24/7 live-in to cover placements in London and throughout the United Kingdom.

New Zealanders have a good reputation in the care and nursing fields in the UK.
Our recruitment liaison, Joanne Newland, is based in New Plymouth, Taranaki. We are looking to recruit people who have hands on experience in caring or nursing backed up with a 'Kiwi can do attitude', common sense and flexibility.

We are a new professional and friendly care agency, with a hard earned reputation amongst the clients we do have.

The work involves  mainly caring and nursing for the elderly or post operative clients in their own homes, hospitals, nursing homes or location of choice.

Are you looking at coming to London to travel or just coming to work and save money.  We can offer you live-in work to suit your travel needs and to help finance your travels.  Live-in is a good opportunity to save money and experience a side of England and a different culture as you may not necessarily get to experience otherwise.

In live-in placements you will have your own bedroom but share communal areas with the client.  In some placements you also have your own lounge, bathroom and or television.  All expenses that come with running a house are paid for including your food.  On top of this the minimum wage per week you can expect to make is £500 per week which is equivalent to $1000 NZ for a carer and £700, equivalent $1400 NZ for a nurse.

Nurses coming to the UK, work as a carer until you receive your nurses pin number.

What we ask of you is a minimum of 6 months commitment in live-in placements so we can provide our clients with consistency of care or nursing.  Usually carers like to remain in their placements after building good relations with their clients and will often return to the same placement after having time off if suitable for all parties.

We will help you to arrange if needed:

     Bank Account

     National Insurance Number

As a carer you will need some previous “hands on” personal care experience bathing, dressing, toileting, etc.  Knowledge and experience of working with people with Dementia and giving Person Centred Care desirable however there is usually a variety of placements.

If you are a more experienced carer or have a nursing background or training, then your duties could involve assistance with complex personal or emotional health and care needs.

You must be able to cook fresh and nutritious meals and present them to an appealing standard.  In many instances you will be responsible for running the house which includes doing light household cleaning.  Flexibility is a must.

A current driving license – an advantage but not always a necessity.

Everyone who works for  Professional Angels must complete a DBS police check in London.

You must be eligible to work in the UK by one of the following:

A visa under the Youth Mobility Scheme available to young NZ citizens up to the age of 30.

An ancestry visa available by virtue of having a UK parent or grandparent

     A British passport

     An EU passport
